You can always try the newer firmware, which you can obtain from the xerox driver page.

strange things...
pdf scan isn't searchable i wrote this before.
and yes, we have a full color scaning kit. didn't know that it can be a problem.

What machine firmware is on the machine also? There could be an updated version you may have to obtain from the Support Centre.

we have some WC5745 with Scan to e-mail option, all of them connected to same 100Mbps network. i am trying to scan a document in any of them. loading docs into ADAF, pressing start button - OK. then scanjob appears in Job pagewith status Formatting. and this status hangs for a long time, almost an eternity. does not matter a page was scanned or ten. any of old WCP245 from our office make this job in seconds! this problem really makes me ...!!

Settings from Xerox Scanning menu:
Output color: Grayscale
2 sided scan: 1 Sided
Content type: Photo and Text,
Scan presset: for Sharing and Printing (This setting is best for sharing files to be viewed on-screen and for printing most standard business documents.
Using this setting will result in small file sizes and normal image quality)
Resolution: 300dpi
Image Enhancement: auto correction, auto suppression
Quality/File size scroll bar in middle position
File format: PDF (not PDF/A)
Serchable option: Image only
Text compression setting: Enabled (Flate compression)
