Re: So stumped on scan to FTP

I have exactly the same issue. I use Xerox WC7535 to transfer scanned doc to FTP via Filezilla.

Filezilla user (name: skaner) has full permissions and also this user has all permissions to directory in Windows.
When scanning only 2 folders are created - Month - 01 and subfolder Day - 22....and this subfolder is empty. No pdf file.

I think xerox setup should be OK. SYSTEM authentication option. It's only IP of server, username and password. Default Repository Document Path - left empty (because path is already configured in filezilla on user)

Re: So stumped on scan to FTP

Re-post your FTP conifguration from the web UI of the machine. The details you gave are for SMB scanning and that is the UNC.

For the FTP Server you already setup the ROOT to goto the folder on your server so you just need to enter the server IP/Hostname and it should scan directly to that folder.

Re: So stumped on scan to FTP

When you setup the user with FULL Access in the FileZilla application did you make sure that user also has FULL NTFS permissions to that folder?

Right click on the folder > Security

So stumped on scan to FTP

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I simply cannot find what I am missing in my set up to scan to our ftp server. I'm using FileZilla for our FTP server software. Each attempt gets me an error of "Remote directory lock failed" from the Xerox 7545.

From the FileZilla log:

(000571)5/7/2012 11:58:10 AM - (not logged in)(172.16.41.134)> USER {user name} (000571)5/7/2012 11:58:10 AM - (not logged in) (172.16.41.134)> 331 Password required for {user name}

(000571)5/7/2012 11:58:11 AM - bizhub (172.16.41.134)> QUIT

On the File Destination screen my settings are as follows...

Friendly Name: Scan Inbox

Default Repository Protocol: FTP Host Name selected

Default Repository Server - server where our FTP is installed name has been verified multiple times to be correct

Default Repository Document Path: I have tried the logical combination I can think of here such as

.

\\server\shared folder\

shared folder name

{blank}

Default Repository Login Credentials: again here I have tried several combinations Authenticated User and Domain - with my own log in

Authenticated User - with my own log in and the user set up in FileZilla

System - the user set up in FileZilla
