Infoneeded,
Is the "Accept as Solution" available on the post containing the solution?
Please let me know.
Thank you for pointing this out. I will raise this to the Site Managers.
I'd love to mark your comment as the accepted solution, but I not seeing where I can label it as such.
I've searched the site & found:
Accepted Solutions
The ‘Accepted Solutions’ enables you as a community member to choose the best answers that solved your problem. Accepted solutions help first-time visitors find answers quickly and enhance the reputations of the authors. Accepted solutions rise to the top of the list more quickly in search results as they are given a premium in the search tool.
I just don't see accept or solution anywhere on the page.
Hi InfoNeeded,
I am glad to be of assistance. To assist others that would use the XSF will you please "Accept as Solution" my response.
Again, you are welcome!
Hi George,
Your information & link was perfect. Installing the update immediately allowed communication over TLS1.2 & allowed email to send.
Thanks again for you help!
InfoNeeded,
Here is the link to the lasted Firmware.
Take a look at this XSF post as it has an expalanation of the SW naming syntax.
I hope this helps.
Hi,
I have firmware 62.121.001.24900 but the Workcentre 7556 is trying to communicate via TLS 1.0 & email sending is blocked as its deprecated. I'm trying to get a firmware version that will allow TLS 1.2.
If firmware version WorkCentre_7500-system-sw062.121.002.14700 should allow TLS 1.2 is it going to be denied installing as it will be seen as a "downgrade"?
If I should be able to select TLS 1.2 on the current 62.121.001.24900, can you direct me to where as I haven't seen any area to select TLS1.2.
I have confirmed (via Wireshark) that the unit is trying to negotiate only at TLS 1.0.
Thanks!
C8T7,
Here is the link to the Firmware. This Firmware specifically addresses:
• Addresses the issue of scan to email is not working with Office 365 email
• TLS 1.2 version is now supported for SMTP
I hope this helps.
Will this firmware be publicly available at all, or do we have to go through our vendors to get it? We have two clients with these Xerox machines that need the firmware update, we've had to set them up with SMB scanning as a workaround.
