Re: Template Pool Inquiry

well, i think your config is wrong..

1) you are using a 169 address? thats strange?

2) try using ftp with port 21 or smp with 138 or 139

Re: Template Pool Inquiry

Thanks, Fabio. I enabled the job log and got the .xst file. I only have one copier to work with right now, so after moving that .xst file to my template pool share, I removed the template from the copier. However, I am not seeing it it the list of templates on the copier now. I did a refresh on the "Refresh Destinations" tab on the copier and it says a partial list is displayed.

I placed the .xst in the following path: \\myserver\scanning_test\templates and here are my settings in the Admin Console for Template Pool setup:

Protocol: SMB

IPv4 address:  169.xxx.xxx.xxx:445

Share: \\myserver\scanning_test

Document Path: \\myserver\scanning_test\templates

And I've entered login credentials with access to that share (I had to click the "System" radio button for it to allow me to enter and AD user in this field).

Is my document path incorrect for picking up the template on the copier or am I missing something else in my configuration?

Thanks again

Re: Template Pool Inquiry

when you setup a template, enable the log so the scan will also create an .xst file, that .xst file is your template that you must put in the pool directory for your other devices

Template Pool Inquiry

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have a WorkCentre 5638 and have configured a network share to house scan templates to share among other devices. However, I am unsure how to create templates within this network share. Do I need to export local templates to this location? If so, how?

I am finding the Admin guide I downloaded from the Xerox website that runs in Flash to be lacking in the details. I did have an Admin guide in PDF that may have been more detailed, but have been unable to locate it - a link to the PDF would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
