Guys, make sure the USB device is formatted as FAT32 and that the partition scheme is MBR and not GPT.
Has anyone found a solution to this?
The web page built into the device (Older machines it was called CWIS)
EWS = Enhanced Web Service
CWIS = Centreware Internet Services
What is EWS?/ what does that stand for? Thanks.
That is AltaLink
Go to EWS > Properties > Apps > Scan To USB and Print From > Print From USB and enable them both
Then go to Connectivity > Setup and make sure it is on Software Tools
The model # is Y4X828649.
Thanks.
On the newer devices the USB port ahs 2 different enablements and scan to and print from are separately enabled too.
So I will need that model number because Connectkey/VersaLink and AltaLink differ in directions
I have the same problem. USB drive will not let me scan a document or print one. The port is enabled, so that's not the issue. This is for the updated Xerox copier - not sure of the exact official name. I've tried all the steps to resolve, but it is still not working.
Hi, I had the same problem. I red the comments down here and thanxs go-d I succeded to solve mine.
hopefuly to solve yours and others, too.
I've got a standard SanCruzer 32GB
formatted it to FAT32 file system and now the WorkCentre 6027 recognizes the flash drive and let me print from it.
I must say that at the beggining I formatted the flash drive to FAT32 but it still didn't recognize the drive until I formatted the partition under it, too to FAT32 file system (before it was formatted as Exfat and didn't work).
Any brand, less than 16GB is suggested.
Do not Format it as NTFS (They are usually FAT32 already and should be left that way , otherwise Macs and Linux couldn't read them
