Hi,

could you tell us the error message please?

if it happens does a "normal" copy work straight after?

I could understand it not wanting to copy money or documents with counterfeit protection, but a simple utility bill

And did you get the same error message when copying the bills?

It could just be something with the MFD and that it isn't related with the copy its needed to make

Will run a few tests on the 58xx we have at work and see if I can replicate it

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solutions for blank pages from ADF and blank pages from the glass.  If these solutions do not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Unable to copy certain documents on 58XX machines

Recently we moved to Xerox MFD's in our company and our recruitment department has had problems ever since trying to photocopy documents. For each person who applies for a job they need to copy proof of ID such as passports, driving licence, ID cards etc and proof of address such as bank statement, utility bills etc. 

 

Very quickly they discovered it was nearly impossible to copy a passport of ID card. What happened when they tired is that the machine spat out several (8-10) blank sheets and then displayed an error on screen. No matter what combination of options I tried I could not get it to work 100% of the time. At our support companies suggestion we tried using the ID Card copy function which seems to work OK. However today I have seen the same issue trying to copy paper documents such as bills and bank statements. Using either the document feeder or glass just resulted in blank pages. 

 

Has anyone ever seen this issue? The same documents that cause problems can be scanned to email correctly or photocopied on our 7830 machine.
