Re: User unable to scan to desktop

hello,

why do you use image retriever? its much easer to use network scanning, then you dont need client software

on the support site of the 65 series you can find articles how to setup network scanning

User unable to scan to desktop

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello,

My organization uses Image Retriever 5.2 for the purpose of scanning .PDF documents from a Wrokcentre Pro 65 device directly to desktops of PC's.  Recently, I set a new emplyee up with a repository on our server in the same manner as others are set up (with the user's account as well as a "Xerox Scanning" account given Modify permissions to the folder) and configured the installation of Image Retriever on the user's PC to monitor the repository (with the configuration being confirmed as sucessfull in the Image Retriever log on the user's desktop).  However, when I attempt to actually scan a document to the user's desktop, the document is not appearing on the user's desktop.  I can see the scanned document within the user's repository on the server (so it is successfully getting out of the Workcentre Pro 65 device and onto the network), but when I look at the Image Retriver log I am seeing the message "Error while processing file/folder DOC.PDF".  Furthermore, I have confirmed that I can log on as myself on the same PC and scan to my own desktop and have the document appear.  I have attempted deleting the <repwatch.xsw> file within the user's repository (so that a new one will be created) and giving the user a new Windows profile on the PC.  I'm not sure what else I can try here, so I would appreciate some suggestions.

Thank you,

-Brian McKnight
