Hello,
I have a VersaLink B405 Multifunction Printer
but I cant get it to send email notifications about the supplies especially when the toner level reaches 15% to send me an email alert.
however it does send notifications if I switch on the the notifications for the paper jams, errors etc
I can also receive alerts for the remote services upload section.
My exchange 2013 server does not use smtp authentication and currently authentication is set to off on the printer settings without encryption.(this is the only way I can get the scan to email working by keeping authentication switched off)
The device email section I invented an email address such as office2_printer@xerox.com and it seems to work when I get notifications about errors, paper james etc and when we scan to email that email address comes up.
I think I need to have smtp authentication switched on in order for the supplies alerts to function.
Do i need to create the device email office2_printer@xerox.com in my exchange? and then add it to the smtp authentication section?
I have 10 printers so I need 10 printers in exchange?
Thanks for any help.
