Versant 80 Color Copy Issues

Product Name: Xerox Versant 80 Press

We have two Xerox machines, a 560 and a V80.  We are having an issue with our V80 were light colors, particularly cyan, seem to have a hard time being copied (i.e. they don't show up on the output).  We have had the V80 for about 2 years and I don't ever remember this being an issue.  There is one particular test sheet I use that has a light cyan patch on it and our 560 copies it just fine (almost exact match to original) but the V80 can't reproduce it at all (i.e. it just shows white where the cyan patch is on the sheet of paper).  If I crank up the color saturation to max levels for cyan, then you can start to see a few cyan speckles, but that is it.  I have calibrated the machine several times as well.

 

I have had our Xerox service guy out here for the last 2 weeks trying to fix it, but now they are saying it is just the limitations of the machine and the 560 produces better color output than the V80 so that is why the 560 doesn's have a similar limitation.  So, I am trying to find other Versant 80 owners that might be able to verify whether or not they see a similar issue on their system.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
