I just had 2 new 7500 series delivered last week. It seems that scan to email is taking quite a while on both. I upgraded 1 of the machines to the latest firmware and that did not help. I scan a 30 pg document and it's taking over 3 minutes to send. This seems much longer than our old Xerox WorkCentre. The email I receive only has a 3MB pdf attached - seems way too long and users are complaining. I've check all the scan settings. The file format is PDF and it's 'image only'.
Anyone else experience this and have a resolution?? Thanks for any help.
Tried with a WC7556 and I measure only the processing time in two differed job types:
- 30 A4 single side to JPEG: 30s
- 30 A4 single side to PDF: 50s
on both it takes only a few seconds to send the job after processed. I used a FTP but will be similar with SMB
Firmware version 18.104.22.16800. This one is not available for download so you need to contact your local support to get it.
maybe you have default the "searchable" pdf option enabled?
this takes longer to process thet just "images"
you can change those settings in the last tab of your scan button
