I going to try this tip because in my case the screen keeps "printing" I have to restart the machine to see again the screen.
I'm getting the same problem. Changing power source, waiting 5 mins no help. Just keeps printing out the Configuration Report. It was working fine before that, although some problems interfacing with my MacBook Pro
Typically this happens when there is a power issue, shut it down and unplug for 5 minutes then plug into another power outlet and see if it is resolved, failing that, you would need a Xerox hardware guy to look at it.
After restarting the machine, it just prints a config page, then says 1. Printing; and 2. Printing. Then, if ANY button is pushed from there, it just sits on the "Initializing" screen.
I've cleaned the insides with compressed air, and rebooted, several times. Still no resolution.
Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
