It will not, the current jobs would not be changed, only jobs that come after the setting is changed.
Hi Cheryl,
Thank you very much for the reply. The printer appears to be printing but the output is blank. It has new toner (genuine). The output is blank all the time. So, to confirm, if I'll disable the secure fax and configure it to fax to pc, would it redirect the currently saved faxes on the machine to pc?
Thanks,
Neil
Hi Neil0garcia,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. If the machine is not printing anything including the configuration report then it will not be able to print the faxes. If the configuration report prints then you should be able to disable the secure fax and the faxes should print out. Here are the instructions for turning off the secure fax:
Deactivating Secure Receiving Mode
1. Press Fax on the control panel.
2. Press Menu on the control panel.
3. Press the up/down arrows to highlight Secure Receive and press OK.
4. Press the up/down arrows to highlight Off and press OK.
5. If required, enter the four-digit password and press OK.
The mode is deactivated and the machine prints all faxes stored in memory.
If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
We have an existing WC 3550 that is now non-functioning. We have quite a few faxes saved on the machine. We could not print them as the machine prints blank all the time. It says paper jam when it's actually not. The technician looked at it and said it's probably board issue. The machine is still on and accessible with the web interface. We can see the saved faxes but the only option there is to delete. We want to retrieve and not delete. Is there a way? How?
Thanks,
Neil
