WC7428 is it possible to answer fax after 2 or 3 rings?

this for the previous 7345 machine m, but you can try it

call for service if you need help to configure NVM settings...

Enter in NVM Read/Write location 823-050 and enter number of rings required.
Default is 0, Range is 0-9.
1=1 Ring
2=2 Rings
3=3 Rings etc...
 
Note:  Definition of 823-050 in documentation is Ring Detect Frequency.

We have recently moved from a WC M24 to a WC7428. The M24 was set up to answer faxes only after 3 rings, to allow incoming calls to be answered by default by a PC running a fax software application, "snappy fax". This set up allowed us to filter junk fax and to receive pdf copies via e-mail.

After checkking with the xerox manual and the local service rep, there appears to be no provision for changing the number of rings after which the 7428 answers fax calls. I am hoping this is an oversight by Xerox, and that a firmware revision will be coming out shortly. Is there a work-around for this issue?
