I would recommend doing a clean alt-boot software load with DISABLE_DATA_BACKUP file in it when moving up from a level that is lower than the latest general release. .32804 seems like a good spar level. I believe it also has a fix for the Shellshock vulnerabilty in it.
Yup...service tech came and updated F/W. Next day we have more issues. WC7845 Scan/Copy NOT working. User Database error. Unable to edit user permission on either Machine WC7220 and WC7845.
WC7220 refuses to print colour.
Communication with SMart eSolutions broke on both. Fail.
Call support again today. Tech apparently loaded wrong F/W version which was "corrupt" and pulled from availability. Version in question:
Now tech has to come back (he lives 160km away) so might see him tomorrow. Needs to do a refresh F/W on WC7220 and roll back F/W on WC7845.
More days of not being able to use these machines without issues.
Lets see how this next visit plays out.
Contract is for another 4 years. YIKES, I hope there is some stability coming for these, as I cannot keep babysitting.

I have a WC7845, and had an issue trying to scan to email using one particular email address via LDAP. I choose his address and BCC myself. I get the scan, the other user does not.
I thought I would see if replication might be an issue, so added my other two DC to the pool.
Still not being sent to original user address, but I still get my copy.
Checking further, I thought I would use the "User Mappings" to see if there was an issue there. However, this page NEVER loads.
Then I decided to start from scratch. Removed all three of my DC/LDAP Servers.
Went to add one back, now the page to add an LDAP server NEVER Loads. Page turns white, and stays there. I have rebooted this machine numerous times. So at this pojnt, No One in the comapny can scan to email.
This is NOT good. Have just initiated an "online troubleshooting session" and will see if we can sort this out. I will advise.
Edit: Although this Machine is conencted to the Internet, SMart eSolutions is "Fully Configured & Communicating with Xerox" and the last call was 3 min ago, I try an go to Maintenance Assistant and "Start Online Troubleshooting" it fails saying its NOT Communicating.
Monitoring my firewall, there afre no Deny's..period. Address trying to get to is: 22.214.171.124
Oh dear.....what a mess. Please help, NONE my users can scan to email anymore. Its a disaster.
