Re: Worcentre Pro 35 - Networkscanning via SMB on SBS 2003 - Login failed

Hello,

This LINK will lead you to a pdf (not Xerox official documentation) I have put together with some tips I have done/used during time. If you would like to try it, please understand what you are doing before using it. If required use MS documentation to help you out.

Per default this would be of logic use if you would be using 2k3serverR2 or 2k8 flavour. Nevertheless one of the setps can be solution for your problem.

Apply them one by one and try the scan job. This document contains several tips that apply to more then one cenario therefore use each one at a time.

Please select Accept as Solution if you feel this post has helped you.

Re: Worcentre Pro 35 - Networkscanning via SMB on SBS 2003 - Login failed

what i always test, i take my laptop thats is not in the domain of the server... when i try to open the share, i get the prompt for the user / pass

the fields i enter there i also fillin in the machine , then i test the security to read/write with that user

if that is working , the xerox should be able also

alternatively you can also use the ftp protocol

Re: Worcentre Pro 35 - Networkscanning via SMB on SBS 2003 - Login failed

HJey Fabio,

thanks for the reply.....

On the printer (scanner) i tried everythin

e.g. <domain>/user - user@domain - \\domain\user

I tried it without the pass (xeroxscan), too...

It must be something on the server.

When I used Linux, it worked!!

Worcentre Pro 35 - Networkscanning via SMB on SBS 2003 - Login failed

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello!

Since we installed an SBS2003 our Networkscanner (Xerox Copycenter C35) doesn´t work anymore.

I didn´t change anything but the IP Adress....

My Settings are:

Server:

Microsoft Small Business Server

IP Adress: 192.168.178.100

Folder "xeroxscan" created with rights for everyone

Scanner:

Protokoll: SMB

IP Adress: 192.168.178.249:137 (maybe it´s the port? But it´s the def. value)

Shared folder: data

path:\xeroxscan

username: administrator (tried everyone)

pasword: correct password

I keep getting the errormessage:

Login failed. User Password and/or Username... (can´t read the rest)

I believe I must make some adjustments at the Smalöl mBusinees Serve.

Can anyone help me outl please!!!!!
