I think Xerox WorkCentre 3220 driver can't work in OSX 10.5. I checked it can use for minimum requirement Mac OSX 6.
Hi Slandy01,
Thank you for using the Xerox forum.
Are you plugging into an analog or digital/VOIP line? Digital VOIP lines can cause strange issues.
Has this ever worked?
There is a setup document to check your settings at the following link:

Hi All,
Our Workcenter 3220 says it is "receiving" but nothing comes out. It is not under contract. Can anybody think of some troubleshooting options?
Hi,
I would always advise you to go over the product specs before purchase and get some advise with sales department has they can direct you on your options. See if it will suit all you needs.
As far as I am aware of the Scan to Desktop options are available to Windows OS. This would leave us with products that will be able to scan via network generic procols such as FTP/SMB.
You can have a look at products such WC4150/4250/4260, Phaser 3635MFP, Phaser 6180MFP, Phaser 3300MFP, Phaser 6128MFP.
Good Luck,
Regards,
Thanks for the responses.
Is threre another Xerox printer for a home office that I can purchase that will allow me to scan over the network with a Mac?
Hello,
That is correct. Scan via Network can only be achieved with WIA and TWAIN drivers and those are for Windows environemnt only.
You can use USB connection to your MAC OS or you can use the Scan to Email feature on this product.
Regards,
Rui
i think network scanning is only for windows clients, not mac...
I've done some more testing today and if I hook up the printer using usb, I can scan fine.
But over the network I can't communicate with the printer to scan. Is this an expected behavior for the Xerox drives on OSX?
I've recently just purchased a WorkCentre 3220, but I'm having problems installing the drivers and software. I've tried the versions on the website and the disc that came with my printer with now luck. All it appears to do is install a folder in my applications directory that I don't have permissions to access.
I can install the printer manually myself from the system preferences, but I can't scan to my computer when I do this.
Is ther something I'm missing?
