Hello,

Maybe it's not too late for some of you :-)

In case you have multiple network connections on your computer (physical connections, vpn, etc.) there is solution for "Device not found" or offline device in Network Scan Manager. The solution is changing the prority of your network adapters and put in top of the list your network adapter directly connected to the Xerox device. I don't know if there is such an option in Windows XP, but in Windows 7 exists and solves this annoying problem:

Best regards,

Catalin Bucur.

I thought I'd share my findings. I also had the same issue that only on one of my computers would the message Device Not Found, come up. Turning off the Firewall didn't help either. Turns out that that computer had two IPs from two different subnets. Removed the other IP, and it worked. Hope this helps.

Hello,

if your problem if narrowed to some PC's on your network and some other work, then I would look at those PC's config.

For test purpose, assuming your firewall is off and not active shields (anti-virus) are in use. Then I would look at enable NetBIOS Over TCP/IP. Its a remote try but worth trying.

Let us know if you find your issue is isolated or solved.

just for testing , can you maybe disable the windows firewall? Or maybe its the UAC in windows 7 thats is blocking? Or maybe you have another kind of firewall running?
