There is no way with this model to configure a default size that applies to specific paper sizes. You can configure an overall default size, to limit the total size that emails can be sent as in general, but not for only legal size - that setting would apply regardless of what paper size you use. Additionally, settings like maximum attachment size can typically be modified on most modern email servers. If your email server is hosted locally, you may be able to simply contact your email administrator and ask them to increase the maximum email attachment size, which would resolve the issue entirely. If your email server is not locally hosted, you can contact the company that hosts email for you, but I don't know that they would be able to adjust those settings.
Further to my issue, it appears to only happen with legal sized documents, but not letter sized. After a couple of calls to xerox without any solutions, I adjusted the scanning quality and that seem to rectify the problem -so I'm sure the file was simply too large. Is there a way to adjust the default scanning quality ONLY for legal sized documents?
We just had a technician come and set up our new WorkCentre 5335. I have tried multiple times to scan to email, and it works great with one page. If I try to scan multiple pages I get the following error:
Completed with an Error (016-766) : SMTP Server File System Error
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
