We have Workcentre 5645. When I do a scan to email with a document may take 1 minute its like 2 hours. The document remains at the stage of being''format''. I have the latest firmware. I have this trouble with both devices. I also checked with the log of my server mail (GroupWise) and he is not is at issue. As soon as the mail from the MFP's more or less take a minute before receiving it. I am with a Novell network.
what is your current firmware level?
are you also scanning searcable pdf ? sometimes it takes long to process it you have that default enabled...
The version of my firmware is: 025.054.053.00000. Delays is that there are further along in the day and the time before I receive a scanned document in pdf format is long. For the same document it in the morning can take 1 minute and late in the day its up to 2 hours.
thats an old firmware, its better to upgrade first...
call xerox to obtain version : 25_54_65_150 , since its not on the xerox site itself
