We have a WorkCentre 5745 where I work. It prints fine, but we are having trouble accessing the scanning. The scanning software the university uses is called Not Another PDF Scanner 2. It's an open source program. My computer sees the networked device just fine. However, when I try to initiate scanning a document, I get a message that says "Waiting for TWAIN to Complete." I have left it alone for over an hour and it never goes away. I have loaded the latest drivers directly from Xerox of course.
If it only happens in NAPS2 then recreate your profile in NAPS2 and try with that new profile, if that fails reinstall NAPS2
If it happens in any application reinstall the Twain/WIA driver via Scanner and Cameras
Assuming not only failing in NAPS2 what error do you get in Windows Fax and Scan ?
