Re: WorkCentre 5945 scan to pdf document is shifted

I would guess the 9MB print is due to a PCL driver verses PS, and possibly the port has LPR byte counting enabled.

Can you attach a copy of the pdf with issues? I will print it on all the current Xerox lineup and see if the issue is the device (printer), the software (firmware of the printer) or the file (Possibly corrupt printer firmware or faulted PS interpreter)

Re: WorkCentre 5945 scan to pdf document is shifted

We're scanning 2 pages in (8.5x11) and after the scan - the PDF file size is: 116kb from the Xerox scan.  All OCR is disabled on the Xerox and scanning is at the defaults.

After scanning the same two pages in as PDF using a different scanner/printer (HP) that document size is: 240kb and this document prints perfectly fine.  however I hesitate to think the file size would really be something to raise caution at.  I only mentioned the file size because after the 116kb file is sent to the printer - it spools in at over 9MB - no idea where it's getting all that from and takes forever to print.  BUT - the other PDF that was scanned in on HP printer/scanner - prints without a problem.

Thanks!

Re: WorkCentre 5945 scan to pdf document is shifted

What is the document size physically and what is the original size on the scanner set to?

File size is likely resolution and or OCR related.

WorkCentre 5945 scan to pdf document is shifted

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello,

When we scan a document as a PDF file - it seems the PDF is some how getting created incorrectly.

When the PDF is sent to the printer that was created with the WC5945 it has letters missing and/or moved randomly over the page. While the rest of the page seems to shift off the left side of the page.  When viewing the PDF in Adobe - it looks fine on the screen.

We scanned the same document using another scanner (HP) and when we print that document - it prints just fine.  Also I should mentin when we send the PDF scanned by the Xerox - it shows the size to be over 9MB when the file is only 116k.

Are there any known settings we could look at when the PDF is actually created when scanned in?

Thanks - please let me know if I am unclear.
