Re: WorkCentre 6027 ultra slow scanning

I am having the exact same problem with my 6027. Have you found a solution?

Re: WorkCentre 6027 ultra slow scanning

Hi Nuka,
Thank you for using the Xerox support community forum.

I would suggest that you review the following page for possible solutions. WorkCentre 6027 Support & Drivers

I searched for "wireless" and "slow scan" and "Mac wireless slow" and found many articles.

If those do not help, and because you have the problem on your WorkCentre 6015, you may consider contacting the product support experts by email Fast Track to the Expert  or by phone 1-800-835-6100 (U.S. & Canada)

If you are outside the USA you should contact the local support center in your area which you can find here:

WorkCentre 6027 ultra slow scanning

Product Name: WorkCentre 6027

Hello,

I just received my new 6027. It prints fairly fast but scanning is super slow. It can take anywhere around 1 to 2 minutes or more for a single black and white page with no pictures at a very low dpi setting (75).

Sometimes using OVERVIEW before scanning I get the message: "overview scan timed out".

I am trying to scan via wireless with my macbook air (yes, I updated the drivers for OSX El Capitan, same thing would happen with Yosemite though).

(I do have access to other printers HP, EPSON which scan very fast within the same exact  network wifi/router setup.)

Thing is, I also own a WorkCentre 6015 and I got the same results. I ordered the 6027 hoping it would be faster or that it was maybe an issue related to the 6015 only but nope, same exact problem.

I guess I will be returning this one if I can't find a solution real fast :-(

Anyone  experienced this scanning issue as well? Any idea on how to speed it up?
