Jo,

you are aheroe!

 

I have phoned the Xerox helpdesk in Bulgaria 3 times- No solution.

They forwarded this to 2nd level - without any result.

 

I am trying since days and thanks to your great help it is fully working now.

Absolutely amazing.

(1) No idea

(2) DNS needs to be entered here

As an aside, port 993 is for IMAP protocol, not SMTP, so switch the port to 587, and likely the encryption would be STARTTLS.

Apple agrees with me there.

 

IMAP is not supported by the printer as far as I know

Hi,

I am running my new 6516 on a Mac OSX 10.12.5 via WLAN and have 2 big issues:

 

1) I am unable to scan with the SW digital pictures I get the error There is an error with the communication to the scanner 9923. Same issue when I try to scan with preview

 

2) There is an issue with SMTP. When I scan I get an failure (016-772) DNS servier un-sets up in SMTP

I use the following set up for Icloud:
