Hi,
Most certainly is about the base frame of the DADF, wich in many cases is broken where the left hinge is attached and make the DADF to be raised from scanner and did not actuate the sensor. To see if is what I told you, push the DADF in the left side rear corner, put a sheet of paper in DADF and start a scan or copy.
Good luck!
Gabi
It could be a loose connection to the actuator sensor.
Unortunately, neither of these worked. I will be sure to update the post once the technician comes. Thanks all!
A plastic shim can be glued to the dadf just above where the black plunger contacts it
Probably requires a tech, but....
On the back of the printer right below the feeder lid, pop open the panel and then re-seat the cable.
Reboot.
Also check the sensor, if it got snapped off the printer would always see the position as raised since it isn't there to get pushed down
Good morning,
I have a WorkCentre 7225 that currently has a status code 05-501-00 which says: "The Document Feeder is raised. User intervention is required to lower the Document Feeder. All machine services are available."
Does anybody have experience with this? And is this something that I can fix, or does it require a technician coming out to fix it?
Thanks in advance
