WorkCentre 7232 SMB Scanning on MAC OS 10.9.4 Mavericks

When Apple updated to OS X 10.7, they also changed the SMB protocol to their own solution named SMBx which resulted in losing compatibility for most older printers.

If you absolutely need to scan to this server the easiest way would be using a different protocol, like FTP.

Other ways around it would be having the printer scan to a virtual machine on the server or to another computer.

You could also try using a different version for the SMB, but that's something I'm not familiar with unfortunately.

I have a customer with a WC 7232 scanning via SMB to a MAC server with OS 10.9.4 that has stopped working after they upgraded to OS 10.9.4

Before the upgrade they used MAC OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. Scanning via SMB worked perfectly on Snow Leopard. As soon as they upgraded to Mavericks 10.9.4 SMB scanning stopped working.

Has anyone had this issue ? Please assist.
