You could start by simply checking the network, does print from computer work?
If so it may just be that the engineer did reset everything.
Check This guide for scan to email.
And This guide for scan to smb.
If printing from computer does not work, I suggest you have a look at the network settings on the machine.

I was able to scan at the beginning of the week, then had some technical issues, someone came yesterday morning to fix that (problems with the paper tray) and now scanning doesn't work anymore.
Typically, I scan by email, and I get the error: "complete with an Error (016-768): Invalid Sender Address
When I attempt to scan to network, I get the error: "completed with an Error (027-516): server connection error in SMB
I imagine these are related but I don't know where to start looking for the problem.
