Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solutions for being able to receive a fax but not send.  Also take a look at the solutions for the Fax button being grayed out. If none of these solutions solve your issue you can upgrade the firmware.  For additional help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

WorkCentre 7525 keeps losing fax capability

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

We have a WorkCentre 7525 in our office which is connected to a network. Our IT department has some ability to update versions or templates remotely, but there's been a recurring issue with the fax.

 

UI Software Version: 061.122.29720

System Software Version: 061.121.222.32600

 

About every other week, we are unable to use the Fax function for one reason or another. Usually we cannot send faxes when we have an issue, but we can still receive, and we just get our IT department to flip some switch on their end, so to speak, and it starts working again. This morning, however, the Fax button on the UI has completely disappeared. All of the other functions/templates appear to be there. Could this be a software version issue, or would it strictly be on our IT's side? In my research, it looks like version 061.121.223.04302 might be the one to upgrade to. Any help you can provide will be much appreciated.
