We have a WorkCentre 7535 and are using the Scan to email option. There are multiple domains in our environement and multiple exchange servers. The Scan to email option works fine when sent to anyone within the same domain. When sent to someone in our other domain it doesn't work. Any ideas?
you need to setup smtp relaying on your exchange server, so that the ip of your xerox is allowed to relay to external domains
It so turns out that we have another WorkCentre 7535 that works just fine through the smtp relay on the same exchange server. SMTP is set to relay the ip of the xerox to external domains. The trick is to figure out what is set differently on the different WorkCentres. Any idea's
maybe you have enabled authentication o1 1 of your machine?
also check the firmwares of both models, i know there were some changes in the smtp protocol on newer firmwares...
can you post your levels of firmware?
The firmware version appears to be the newest 061.121.201.09700 on both machines. What Authentication are you talking about?
you can call xerox to obtain release : 061_121_221_20901, they improved the smtp protocol, you can also send now test mails from the webinterface from that firmware release....
what you also can do :
print from each machine a config page and compare them
create a clone from the working machine and restore the clone on the non working machine :)
