It will stay either until you clear it manually, or until the screen times out per the settings found in Machine Status > Tools > Device Settings > Timers > System Timeout

Hi Guys,

I found this post and I am wondering about the retention policy if the email address's are set to save. Is there a set time that the email address's are saved or do they remain saved until they are cleared?

EWS > Properties > Apps > Email > Setup > Security and edit this field

How do you accomplish the same recipient clearing with an AltaLink C8045?

Hi CBS3,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Yes you can set the machine to clear the To: cc: and bcc: fields.  Please follow these instructions. 

 

  1. From the computer, open a browser window.
  2. Enter the IP address of the printer in the Address field, and then press [Enter] on the keyboard. The CentreWare Internet Services window will be displayed.
  3. Click on the [Properties] tab.
  4. Enter the username and password in the fields provided, and then click on the [Login] button.

    NOTE: The default user name is "admin" (case sensitive) an the default password is "1111".

  5. Click on the [Services] link to expand the list of options.
  6. Click on the [E-mail] link.
  7. Click on [Setup]. The E-mail Setup window will be displayed.
  8. Click the Security tab. The Security window will be displayed.
  9. In the  User Policies section click on the [Edit] button for the second section where you will see Clear "To:", "Cc:", and "Bcc:" fields after selecting the Start button.
  10. On the Edit screen select the [On] (Clear Information in Recipient List) radio button.  Turning this on will Clear "To:", "Cc:", and "Bcc:" fields after selecting the Start button.
  11. Click on the [Save] button. A "Properties have been successfully modified" message will be displayed.
  12. Click on the [OK] button.
  13. Click on the [Logout] link and logout of CWIS.
  14. Close the browser window.

WorkCentre 7970 will not delete recipient's email address automaticaaly after scanning.

Product Name: WorkCentre 7970

Our WorkCentre 7970 will not delete the last recipint's email address from the list after scanning has finished. The next user has to manually delete out each prior recipient before sending their new scan. Is there any way to make the recipient's name clear by default after the scan job is done? Thanks.
