jroth and Fabio,
SUCCESS!!! It took a couple of tries and some random clicking, but the fax is installed and working :)
I installed it twice and still didn't see the fax option and after some random clicking, found a setting in the Installable Options for the LAN Fax. As soon as I chose installed, everything fell into place and I am now able to fax.
Thank you so much for your time spent on this even when I didn't get back to you with the request for the screenshots.
I  support forums, you get the best help there is!
Also,
You will download the Xerox GPD from http://www.support.xerox.com/support/global-printer-driver/downloads/enus.html?operatingSystem=win7x... (MAKE SURE YOU SELECT THE CORRECT OS).
Here are some directions you can follow to install the driver - remember that you WILL NOT be using the Xerox 128 driver; just the direction to install the GPD which you will/have download.
SueSweet,
Here are the direction to change the make the printer driver function in the way you need it to. Please follow them and if you have any problems or questions let us know.
You should then see FAX options under the Job Type under the Properties when you select the printer from your application.
Finally able to get back to this. Could you please walk me through the steps. When I try to install the drivers, I don't get an option for the fax, only for printing. Right now I have this file saved to my desktop. GPD_PCL6_x64_Driver.inf
Is this the right driver file that I need? I need to connect through a TC/IP port and have the ip address for the workcentre, correct?
Although the IT consultant set this up 5 years ago, he says he doesn't know how now.
Thank you so much for help!!!
Sue
i have it running here with the global driver under windows 7 , no problems at all...
but you need to configure the driver in another mode , for example the xerox 5225
I must be doing something wrong. I installed the drivers as a local printer on standard TC/IP port and am able to print from my desktop. When I opened the print preferences, the only option was to print. I don't see an option to fax.
Thanks,
Sue
