Re: WorkCentre Scan to Email settings to Exchange server with credentials

Regardless of the From address set on an individual copier, it still fails with a similar message.

On other copiers, I get a message that states connection refused. Same creds.

Setting the associated email address to the account on the copier does not work either.

I'm thinking that Xerox cannot parse domain credentials.

Searching outside thie forums I see this is a pretty common issue.

Any one have success sending email to an authenticated (not anonymous) Exchange connector? If so, advise what settings on the Exchange server need to be there, and what settings on the copiers send sucessfully.

Again, looking for a way not to add 100+ ip addresses to the Exchange connector and set the copiers with static addresses.

Your exchange server is saying the from address and the authenticated user don't match.

The From address does match the information in these fields right?

Re: WorkCentre Scan to Email settings to Exchange server with credentials

Nice thought, tried the append device domain setting unchecked and checked. No luck.

My exchange server bounces back this message event ID 1026 in the Application log from the source MSExchangeTransport , specifc names not included:

SMTP rejected a (P1) mail from 'domain\user@server.domain.com' with 'Internal Relay Authenticated <Exchange Hub name> ' connector. The user 'domain\user' does not have permissions to send as this address.

The couple more I tried, the domain\user setting is set to use the address I provided in the WorkCentre email address box, which is user@domain.com

Try unchecking the circled box on the 58xx device?

WorkCentre Scan to Email settings to Exchange server with credentials

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Have 100+ WorkCentre models in our domain; 56xx, 57xx, 58xx, 72xx, 73xx, 75xx, 76xx, 78xx & WorkCentre Pro 255, 265, 275, 35 & 55's.

Scan to email settings worked and delivered email happily to a now retired Exchange 2003 smtp server that did not require authentication to accept and deliver on behalf of the copiers.

Now we have a Exchange 2010 environment that needs credentials to send. Have a domain\username and password that works properly to authenticate from other HP, Canon and Ricoh devices.

To our dismay, none of our Xerox can send email anymore. Same credentials and server settings as other mfg's attempted.

Things I could think of to try:

-Impractical to add each WorkCentre as an authorized IP, especially since we use DHCP for them

-Tried by using the hostname or IP address of the 2010 SMTP server, with and without encryption settings

-Tried domain\username, domain/username, username @ domain, and username permutations with password

Varied firmware / software across the different models, upgrading to latest gen or SPAR's no help

Multiple cases have been opened and some are ongoing to try and resolve simply sending a email from a Xerox device

Last time we had success was with an open smtp server, but that is not an option any longer.

Any ideas?
