We have a Xerox Workcenter 7655 connected to our network of about 25 users. Web interface, printing, copying, scanning all work all day long. However, the issue we have is with the email function. 1 out of 100 times it actually works, and it takes hours for the email to show up. When it does not work, the two usual error messages are "Job must have atleast one To: recipeient" (which of course it does) or "Failure transferring job to network server." The settings have been checked multiple times by multiple people. The settings input are straigt from our email providers website, it was even copy/pasted (smtp.xxx.com:587). All of our clients can email all day no problem, using the exact same settings. Can anyone give a little assitance please? At my wits end.

Hey you!
I suggest you try logging in on the email that the printer is using to send from, and try sending a mail from your computer. See if it's the same problem.
Best Regards
Kimzi

I did just that right now. I logged in as xerox@xxx.com and sent an email to myself that came thru.
What version system software do you have on the machine? I believe .033.53050 is the latest general release but there are later spar versions that fixed scanning issues.
Sorry about the delay in reply. Accrding to the site, it is version 0.0.0 which I know is not a good thing.
To find the version look at the configuration page that normally prints out when you restart the printer. Or go into the printers UI and print one.

MazterJedi,
Assuming all SMTP configs are ok (can be confirmed by at least 1 sucessfull email job) and that the FROM user is ok and trusted by your email server, than
Can you please upgrade to 040.033.53361.
As always, before any upgrade, make sure to backup important files and generate a clone file in case recovery is required.
the final desired output would

I will look into it. The machine is leased from a local company, I will contact them about how we go about an upgrade. Thanks for your time, I will get back to you with the results.
We had a technician come in this morning and update all of the software packages and flush out the print queue, and now everything seems to be working fine again. He showed me a report that showed where some of the files in the software were even corrupt and\or missing. Dont know how that happened, but everything seems fine now. Thank you for your time and assistance!
