Hi, I agree with your auggestion.
XEROX to update the MFP manuals, at least in the troubleshooting section and in the SCAN-To-Network-PC section to include the prerequisite of having such protocol enabled in the MFP is better solution.
Issue fixed by myself.
For the benefit of who might experience the same issue and for CherylO-Xerox to update your internal knowledge base to provide a better support to other users: the issue was due to the fact that, in the case of putting the MFP in a network, the TWAIN driver connects to the MFP with the T4NET protocol on TCP/UDP port 9400. That protocol was disabled in my MFP (I do not know why), that's why the TWAIN driver was not able to perform any scanning via network.
As soon as I enabled the T4NET protocol in the printer through the Xerox CentreWare Web interface (menu option "Security --> System Security --> Feature Management"), the "scan-to-network-PC" functionality worked like a sharm.
I suggest XEROX to update the MFP manuals, at least in the troubleshooting section and in the SCAN-To-Network-PC section to include the prerequisite of having such protocol enabled in the MFP.

I have already seen that FAQ and I'm afraid to say that it is defintively useless.
If there is no chance to get a better solution by the experts of this community, I will open a case with the support.

Hi mauro,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solution for scanning using TWAIN. If this solution does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Hi All
I have just purchased the MFP in subject. It is connected via network to my office lan.
printing and faxing is working fine.
The issue is with the scannning.
I have installed the Twain/WIA drivers downloaded from the support site, but it seems that nothing has been done. The scanner is not listed in the windows device list and when I open the "xerox scan assistant" software, the "scan" button is disabled.
The "xerox scan assistant" software successfully discover the 3325 in the network, pinging the printer's IP is successfull, however it seems that the TWAIN driver is not loaded or is not properly installed, and the scan button remains disabled.
I have tried also by disabling the windows firewall, but no luck.
Please note that if I connect the printer via USB, it works perfectly, the "xerox scan assistant" software finds it and allow scanning.
So this seems really an odd problem of the twain driver working via network. Reading the manuals (admin guide and user guide), it seems that it is possible to perform network scanning via twain, and personally this was one of the reasons for which I decided to purchase this MFP.
Do you have any hint/suggestion?
my PC is Windows7 32 bit enterprise edition.
thanks in advance
Regards
