Re: Workcentre 3550 scan to mail on port 465

Thanks for your help but 25.002.03.002 doesen't solve the problem.

I've tried with an another provider that work on port 587 with authentification, it works.

But nothing to do with the one that work on 465.

Any advice are welcome.

Thanks

Re: Workcentre 3550 scan to mail on port 465

Hello,

That is interesting. From your first post I would assume the ssl translation could be the main reason for it to fail. But on your last post you mentioned that same configuration works on a different port (587).

  1. Can we assume on both tests your email provider is external?
  2. So you have no control over the email server setup (specificaly the way smtp is setup)?
  3. What error comes up on the smtp server? (If you have no access to the server you would not know this anwser I suppose.).

The first suggestion it comes to my head is maybe to use port forwarding to send all traffic from port 465 to 587... But I am not sure this is actually a port issue....I would more inclined to be smtp configuration... but unfortunately I have no way of testing this at this stage.!!
