I always try to stick with a simple share name - adding special characters sometimes does weird things - just like spaces too.
It looks like in this case, the workcentre had issues with the characters in the share name. I created a new folder on the server without any spaces or apostrophes, and it took off and saved properly. Thanks for all your help!
Do these machines generally have issues with characters like " ' "? There is one folder in the server share that contains this - \\servername\share-name1\share's name2\scans
This is how the server share is configured. One folder has a dash, another has the apostrophe and space...which is what I'm really wondering about. I apologize for being a pain on this one...I'm going to try to get access to a folder without any special characters to try this out.
Also, the machine software version is 061.132.221.21403 if that's any concern.
Hi texicus,
First of all just make sure all DNS settings are configured and working correctly.
Assuming the folder shared name is COM-LLBHER1, I would suggest you to change the configuration on your image to:
Share: COM-LLBHER1
Document Path: CHILDREN'S SERVICES\....
The share is only the main folder that is share. All path afterthat should go into "Document Path".
Make sure to use the shared name and not the folder name.
If this does not work. Please try configure a folder with simple name such as scan, within that scan1 and so on to make sure your not having problems with characters such as "-" or " ' ".
Hi there - I'm trying to set up Workflow scanning on a Workcentre 5740, but running into issues - I keep getting a "Login failure. Check user password, and/or setups" error under Status Details. I have to be honest in saying this is my first Workflow setup, so it could just be the way I'm setting it up. I have the setup as follows in the picture.
Is my problem that the share path is 3 folders deep? I checked the Job History on the copier, and the job status says Status: Job deleted due to system error. I put the domain name before the login username, but the issue remains. I can access the folder as that user.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
