Re: Workcentre 5765 workflow scanning - Login failure.

Nothing should have changed.  I'm not our main IT person, but I am involved in the helping with our IT department.

I did text our main IT guy yesterday to see if he had any recommendations, and he connected remotely to our network to check it out.  He hasn't told me what he did yet, but whatever he did, he fixed the problem.

I appreciate your help, though!

could also be an issue that the machine is pointing to a difrrent IP, because maybe the ip of your smb server has changed

could be the the password of the user is changed

sharing settings changed?

firewall turned on ?

Workcentre 5765 workflow scanning - Login failure.

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

My boss was trying to scan several things this morning (via SMB), and after attempting to scan everything, it printed out a sheet that said, among other things, "Login failure.  Check user password, and/or setups."  I turned the copier off and back on, then I tried scanning her documents, and I tried scanning a test page under my name, and it did the same thing.

We have successfully used this same copier/printer to scan in the past, and we still have the same computers.  So I can't figure out why, suddenly, this isn't working anymore.

Our IT guy is going to take a look at some things remotely, but I thought I'd ask here, to see if anyone had any suggestions.
