Hi Guys.
Bought today the Workcentre 6505n. The station is linked in our network. Printing is fine and fast but scanning is a pain in the ass. I mean upt to 2 minutes for 3 pages of text ? Really ?
I really hope there is a problem which can be solved because if thats not the case i have to send that Printer back.
I have installed every actual driver and im using PaperPort as scanning programm. I have also tried othes but the speed is only slightly faster.
Do you guys have a solution for that problem ? Is that a known problem ?
Thx for the help
Hi you!
Try playing around with the scan settings, have a look HERE
You can try changing resolution and compression etc.

Every Single Setting is as far as i know at its fastest option. The scan process is likte this: Scan one document, a window apears with "twain driver ....." this takes forever to load, scan second document, window apears again, .....
This really cant be true. My 5 year old Workstation is way faster.
Hi again!
You could set up an FTP instead, just to see if it's something wrong with the twain driver.
Have a look HERE if you would like to try.

So...after a few days of testing i found out that i only need 13.2 second for a single page if i use a direct network scan where my pc is in the adressbook. Fine, so the scaner is faster than the normal 50 seconds per page i need via paperport. The problem with this method is that i can only scan single pages ... and i have no intention to scan 32 pages by hand.
Somewhere must be a big problem. Its kinda suspicious that im the first one with this one.
I have the same scan slowness as well. 1-2 pages per minute using PaperPort.
This is a fail IMO.
Ever found a solution to this issue? I have a 6027 and I am experiencing same results.
