Scan to has its own setup inside the address book and has no association with email or Network Scanning. The icon is greyed out because there are no "Scan To" locations setup.

Workcentre 7845 Scan to Email not working - no device address book contacts are setup for scanning

Hi,

I have a Workcentre 7845 with the "Scan to" function not highlighted and when try to enter it by selecting it on the printer touchpanel I get the errror "no device address book contacts are setup for scanning".  There is an address book and all other features work properly. Through the browser CentreWare interface, the "test communications" of Email smtp works properly. Just don't have the function available from the printer. Printer has the latest firmware software version 072.040.004.09100

 

Any suggestions?
