We installed the update.
Although it still shows "\" being inserted before special charecters when performing AD lookups in the custom filter lookup, the Xerox with the latest firmware update is no longer acting as if those extra "\" exist.
So the latest build actually does work in practice.

here is a link to the latest SPAR which has this fix in it, unfortunately the .32804 does not have a link due to there being a SPAR update.

I couldn't find a download for this firmware build. I also have an 7855 with this same issue.

We tried all of the above,but it still has the issue,the machine emails ok to anyone that does not have an apostrophe.
Is there a patch available?

If these solutions do not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
We have several Workcentre 7855's that will not scan to email addresses with an apostrophe e.g. "o'neill".
Software version 071.040.034.06000 works.
Software version 072.040.104.14800 has the error.
Software version 072.010.124.23405 has the error.
We need the fixes in the later versions of Software so downgrading them to 06000 isn't an option.
Any suggestions?
