Depends on the error and what server you are using.
I'm pretty sure the printer in question does not work with SHA-2, which is a requirement for most servers starting this year, including Gmail, Yahoo and Office365.
Just reply with the full email information you are using and the error you are getting and I will look into it. But I need specific errors and the exact mail server you are attempting to use.
Thanks Joe! Downloaded the Naps2 program which worked nicely! Any chance you can assist with the pop error I'm getting when trying to scan to email?
If you are scanning from the application, no setting on the printer matters. As I stated, try another program, the 2 I linked are free.
TWAIN is not Scan to PC
Just tried again and got Scanned Timeout Error Job Canceled. The window scan was only opening when I was trying anything to get the scans going. As it site set to PDF on the printer, I get the Scanned Timeout Error.
You are not using a pdf if Windows Scan opens. It doesn't support pdf
And if you were scanning in TIFF format you cannot, in Windows Photoviewer see more than the first page, it doesn't support mTIFF.
Try opening the file in something like IrFanview, or NAPS2 if it is a tiff. If it is jpeg it is impossible to have more than a single page.
That's how I have it all set up but the only thing I can get to happen is Windows Scan softward opens up has them as single pages. I would actually prefer it to work via email but when I scan through email, I get a POP Error and Job Failure. Not sure how to fix that.
I feel like I'm missing a software patch to get it going correcly or something. Any other suggestion greatly appreciated. Scanning multiple pages as one document is one of the reason I purchased this machine :(
No idea then, I have PDF in Scan To PC,
Scan to Email,
and Scan to SMB.
If you were using TWAIN or WSD, you should only have things supported by the application you are pulling the scan from.
It is possible, I suppose, that pdf is a paid option that you did not get.
I'm trying to use the feeder to scan to PDF. Default settings on printer are set to PDF. However, when I press scan to computer, there in no option in the software to select PDF. Only has BMP, JPG, PNG, and TIF.
Wait, are you feeding the paper in through the document feeder, and hitting to Scan only once, but getting 3 separate files?
Is this scan to email, or scan to PC?
If you are scanning from the glass and doing 3 scans, you get 3 files.
If you are scanning to jpg, you get 3 files.
If you scan using the feeder, and use pdf, you get one file , to set this go to Machine Status > Tools > Default Settings > Scan Defaults > File Format
I'm having difficultly getting the 6027 to scan a multi-page document as one file when doing to my computer. A 3 page doc always comes over as 3 separate files when I need them as one. Can someone please assist? Any help is greatly appreciated!
