Assuming SMB, change the protocol dropdown to SMB
Friendly name is unimportant, call it Server
Input the IP address:Port as 192.168.1.9:445
Document path is shared drive\PRINTER - SCAN
I will note that the machine did not support server 2012 originally and would give Login failures with the correct info (This was due to the SMB3 that is used Server side)
So if your current firmware starts with 072, and you are getting login errors, try updating to the latest firmware (no settings will be lost)
If it starts with 071, not only is it not going to work, but you would need a tech to do a Forced ALTBOOT no data backup no clone to get it up to current. Which means the device will be wiped of literally every setting on it, no clones can be made, it would require you to reinput anything on it beyond the IP address (Tech puts that back on to confirm connectivity)
I want to save scanned files to a folder on my server (running Windows server 2012 r2)
Here is the information how to access that folder:
Address: 192.168.1.9\shared drive\PRINTER - SCAN
domain name is: ad.abc.com
User that have access to that folder:
username: printer_user
password: ThisIsATestPassword12345
What do I have to put in these fileds (see picture below), is there other setting that I also need to setup other than this?
Thank you!
Any if you are about to reply and tell me "please follow some articles, tutorials etc..." from user manual or some KB please don't, I couldn't understand any of those that's why I am here.
