Thanks Joe, so use this latest firmware, and Follow this isntructions I use to do ALTBOOT here WorkCentre 3655 File Download, will do and let you know if this fix the issue.
Also there are 2 Files.
788101v5.2.dlm
''''sw#07306017714300#.DLM (Firmware). -- so this is the one I need to put on the USB?
Use the firmware in the link I provided, but follow the instructions from the link you are using for the altboot.
The trouble would seem to be that when you updated initially to an 073 release, you did not get notified of this
This release uses OpenSSL version 1.0.2h
WARNING for WC3655 / WC 6655 upgrades only: Once the system is upgraded to this SPAR Release it cannot be downgraded to the GM
release 072.060.034.16800/072.110.044.20500 or SPAR R14-11 release 072.060.134.32804/072.110.134.32804.
You cannot go backwards using any method to an 072 release.
to disable data backup, add a file (blank) with no extension and name it DISABLE_DATA_BACKUP to the folder on the USB key with the firmware DLM
I explain the issu again sorry, but here im an mentioning that the issue is caused by something specific, how can I address the Network Controller Connection issue
"Work printer is restaring every time this error message shows up (Network controller connection is about to reset), First I upgraded to the new Firmware 073.060.177.14300 from 073.060..075.34540, and system was not woking properly computer pinter start having a few error messages, and was Instructed to do an ALTBOOT to 072.060..034.16800 but still having issues, not all error messages but this one that the network crontolled connection is no working and the printers restart by itself, already re did the ALTBOOT and same results.
This what I use to do ALTBOOT WorkCentre 3655 File Download."
Also if you see on the instruction proided for the Alt Bot ther was no mention for No Data Backup, how do I try that and do ou have a differente link to get the Files to Altboot in case the ones i use where not the proper ones?
Thanks for assisting me.
If an altboot fails to apply it can only be a hardware failure, and if that is the case, a service tech is required.
An upgrade from USB can fail for a plethora of reasons.
So if you actual did an Altboot load, and attempted to do with with the no data backup option and the forced, then the HDD is bad.
I also fail to see why, when I linked the latest firmware, you went and tried to use one that is 3 years old instead.
OK already did that Altboot, and follor the instructions:
1. Turn the WorkCentre 3655 power Off.
2. Insert the prepared USB thumb drive in the USB Port on the left side USB port (left side as you face the WC3655).
3. Turn the WorkCentre 3655 power On.
4. The Control Panel will display the current state of the upgrade process.
5. After the firmware update process is complete, the control panel displays a prompt to remove the USB thumb drive and to “Press the 0 key”. Remove the USB pen driver and then press the “0” key.
6. Wait for the WorkCentre 3655 to reboot and return to Ready.
Used the files provide on WorkCentre and follow instructions.
now the Printer is on a cycle rebooting multiple times ats been 4 times already, been working on this for about 4 hours, and before the upgrade the only thing was that Scan to PC was not working now im worst, what else can i do?
Due to me speaking English only, I can only tell that it seems to have an issue connecting to remote templates in picture 2, and at no point have you even mentioned a template pool, Network TWAIN, or any other remote template setup, the erorr isn't for local templates creaed in CWIS or the Addressbook.
I've never come across a failed install using the tool method for firmware updates, I have seen them when not using the tool when patches were not applied. I appologise if the firmware caused it.
If it is indeed corrupt, an Altboot would need to be done to restire it to factory defaults using the linked firmware DLM and usb key to install.
Working fine now after upgrade, but I got this message now, and is printing a Configuration Report every 5-10 minutes, also an error emssage saying something like Initalizeing Network Controler unable to print, also the printer is reestarting multiple times to prepare to start new session.
Should be good. Just make sure that is exact to how Windows will display the login name in the brackets here.
OK im using Windows 10, on the Cumputer I need the file to be send to, this the sofware ver on the Xerox Printer (073.060.075.34540) I think the new one is (073.060.177.14300).
First I created a File named "Scan" on the Windows 10 PC and enable full access to user Xerox@SANOVIV.LOCAL already tested Access and is working fine.
Settings used on the Scan to are:
So the only thing left to do is to upgrade the Firmware and i should be good?
For port 139 to be in use you would have to be using a Firmware from about the first 3 months the printer existed, which at this point won't work with pretty much any Windows OS due to security tightening on every Windows version back to XP.
It should be port 445, and the firmware should be updated
