Not sure why you would post that as a scan issue. Your fault code is because the machine got set for the wrong speed, so you have a 560 that is being told to run as a 550 or vice versa.
124-315 RAP
IOT Speed Mismatch
Procedure
CAUTION
The Accessories have their own power cord. Whenever a procedure states to Power Off and
then Power On, POPO, etc., powering Off and then powering On the IOT does NOT Power Off
the Accessory. The Accessory will have to be Powered Off and then On separately from the
IOT by unplugging the Accessory power cord.
Switch the power Off then On. If the problem still exists, perform the following:
Enter NVM Read/Write. Check the values at the following Chain Link Codes.
• NVM Read/Write [700-600] (IOT):
• NVM Read/Write [700-601] (SYS 1):
• NVM Read/Write [700-602] (SYS 2):
The three values are all different.
Y N
Perform GP 4 Serial Number Synchronization Procedure.
• Replace the MCU PWB (PL 11.1).
• If the problem continues, replace the ESS PWB (PL 11.6).
NOTE: IOT refers to MCU PWB, SYS 1 to ESS NVM PWB, and SYS 2 to ESS PWB.
You are going to need a tech to resolve it, or find a service manual and do lots of reading.
Hi Jibes_Tech,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. The code you are seeing Fault Code 124-315 which is a IOT Speed Mismatch should be cleared by turning off the machine waiting 30 seconds and then turning it back on. My 550 randmonly drops scans as well, but we don't get an error. I have a Xerox 5335 on the same subnet scanning to the same locations without issue.
JKnox,
Is the directory you scanning to empty?
Thank you,
Jordan

At random our Xerox 550 fails when Network Scanning with a File Creation Error (027-522). I have checked and verified SMB settings, Protocol settings and updated to the latest firmware on the Xerox but it still happens at random. Also, there is no firewall issues and the network share permissions are OK as well. Any help greatly appreciated.
