Hi,

I'm seeing the line on both pages, but on the second the scan is not scanning the full page. Is this the problem? Because the original is blank on the edges I can not see the real problem. Can you scan a original with some light background?

If only happens on the second page, the problem is with one of the lamps. This device has two scan lamps, that is why it does a duplex scan on a single pass, on a speed of 200 ipm.

Thank you for  the follow up, kindly find attached a back to back scan of a test page.

Notice the lines on the left side the 2nd page, it keeps on showing.

 

We had the xerox technician had a ook this morning, and the advised that it could be the adf alignment, so they did adjustments and stuffs and nothing worked.

Hi,

Please scan two docs, one from feeder in duplex and other from the glass (simplex) and post it here, only to make sure where is the line and if exists a difference.

Xerox 5855 Scanner

Dear Support,

We have recently purchased a xerox 5855 for our new corporate office. I am the IT Officer and setup the printer on our network.

I am experiencing issues while scanning, there is this streak of line accross the edge of the document that comes from nowhere. This is entirely affecting the buisiness because we cannot scan at all without this line showing up.

 

I have cleaned the glass, block the lights around the printer (local xerox branch advised), played around every possible settings on the machine. I have red somewhere that the scanner may need calibration, i am sorry but this option is nowhere to be found on the model. The local xerox branch doesnt know what could be the cause and advised to change the whole document feeder. This is not the case because it was the sole purpose why we bought  a new printer, was to eliminate the line issue that was aparent on our last printer (5335).

 

Please advise A.S.A.P anyone, im running out of solutions.
