Not reboot, RELOAD. SW= software (firmware). Post errors are available in the service documentation, which is not available here. So you will not find a list of post errors normally.
But the Post Code 5 normally indicates that the controller board is damaged and must be replaced (on this product). Sometimes the SD card must also be replaced as well. Then the machine software must be loaded via Altboot proceedure. The software must be mid-2018 (of newer) - otherwise, the Post code 5 error may occur again at some point in the future.
The specifics about all of these steps are not available here. These steps should be performed by Xerox service tech. 1-800-821-2797.

Hi, please help me figure out the problem. Xerox Altalink C8045 freezes when turned on. The LED is red 5. Is this a problem with the main control board?
