I have a customer with a Xerox Documate 3220 running the OneTouch software. She is having a recurring issue where the scanner starts creating blank pages when scanning multiple pages from the ADF tray.
These blank pages only happen after the first two or three pages are scanned, then all the following pages in the generated pdf file are blank. If she scans only one or two pages at a time from the tray, then the issue does not happen (in that case she can just us the scanner bed).
Reinstalling the driver fixes the issue for a few days (the computer can even be restarted and the scanner will continue working). However, it won't be long until it happens again and the driver must be installed, again.
Having to reinstall also has the nasty side effect of removing all custom scan settings in the OneTouch software (I have not been able to find where these setting are stored to be able to back them up), so the process of reinstalling is a rather long process since she has a number of custom pages settings she needs setup in the clunky OneTouch interface.
I'm at the end of my rope on this. It doesn't throw any errors, there are no logs that show anything unusual, and it works just fine for a short while without issue after installing "fresh" drivers.
