tested, and indeed
when using an smtp with authentication, we need to setup the xerox machine, that the FROM email address is NOT changed to the logged in user
solved
You could test your theory by creating a fake SecureAccess/Equitrak account that uses a real Office365 email address.
Or do a Wireshark trace to see the failure and compare it to the un-authenticated.
Hi, when we setup on conneckey an office 365 smtp server with credentials and and office 365 account, sending a test mail from cwis works fine
it also works from the machine
but when setup an accounting like xerox secure access/ equitract or whatever
when we login , the default from address is changed to the logid user, thats the expected bevahiour we whant
but when we send the mail, the mail is revoked
it probably has todo with the office 365 acount we setup before, because microsoft probably denies sending with another "from address"
is that correct? is it possible to setup so the mails are still being allowed b office 365
probably the same issue with other smtp servers in combination with credentials...
thnx
