You didn't mention the operating system you are using but I did find an article about not being able to scan using window 10, it suggests update the software. Click here for the article, you can also find the latest software on our driver and download page here.

The MFP worked well, but a couple of days ago there was some problem and now when you try to scan over the network (for example, SMB), the message "Unavailable" immediately appears. I.e. on the printer panel, I click the scan button, then select SMB and immediately the message "Unavailable" appears and nothing happens. How do I fix the problem?
