Lordfarquad i think has the correct answer! I had a similar issue with a 7530/7545 running 103.04401 firmware and upgraded to the .23400 spar firmware, you can find a link here.

I have found that this solves some issues not fixed by the connectkey scan patch, it also addresses the 'scan destination locked' issue that's banging around!

WC78xx scans to smb by default to port 445. This is the port SMB v2 uses on most modern W$ operating systems (W7, W2K8R2, W2K12).

Win XP uses port 139, change that in the scan locations repository.

I upgraded to Spar release “071.010.103.23400” to solve the SMB problem with scanning. that worked, however now I don't have a compatible AirPrint dlm to install. is there any way to find an airprint patch that works with 071.010.103.23400 so I don't have to re-install the entire machine back to a 044xx verion of the firmware?

I've the same problem with other model... WC-7845 smb with winxp not works.

The machine have the correct configuration and time...

but in win xp not works ??

It could be due to a compatibility issue or not support this operating system?

If I downgrade the firmware... Xp works, and Win 7 not.

Its very strange.

The new firmware is 071.010.130.06401.. the old 071.010.130.04401

there's another more new ?¿

My machine not  scan via smb I've frimware 071.010.103.04401 the problem is only with win7.

Other computer with windows xp wiht the same configuration works fine.

I've a firmware problem ??

The machine give this error "UNKOWN ERROR" in the workflow scan option. Only with win7.
