Re: Xerox Work Centre 6015 - paper weigth and print resolution

Hey you!

Have a look HERE when it comes to supported paper.

Remember that if you use heavier paper than supported you will shorten the life of ur printer, you will wear out rollers and fuser etc.

And when it comes to higher resolution, have a read through THIS link.

The print driver can send a job thats up to 600 x 600 dpi.

The printer do have a feature called Xerox Hi-Q which produce an interpolated output of 1200 x 2400 dpi.

Best Regards

Kimzi

Xerox Work Centre 6015 - paper weigth and print resolution

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello.

I recently purchased a Xerox Work Centre 6015 and i have two questions.

First i want to ask what's the heaviest paper i can use and what happens if i exede it?

I have read here (http://www.xerox.com/downloads/usa/en/supplies/rml/supplies_rml_wc6015.pdf) that the heaviest or thickest is called "light card" and has 163gsm witch is named in the driver as "lightweight cardstock". Is that right? I allready have a few hundred sheets of xerox colotech+ that has 250gsm. I did 2 tests and it seems to work fine but i'm concerned that I might wear the mechanism because it's too heavy. What do you think? Shoul i keep using the 250gsm or toss it so i don't break my printer?

Second question is about the printing resolution. In this brochure (http://www.office.xerox.com/latest/60XBR-01E.PDF) i see that the maximum resolution is 1200x2400 but i can't find it anywhere. In the print driver interface there is no setting for the resolution and in application that has a resolution selection it's fixed to 600x600. Is 600x600 the maximum resolution or how can i set it to prin in 1200x2400?
